Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder and butter together with fingers until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  2. Add the sugar, dried fruit, sultanas and mixed spice and mix until well-combined.
  3. Mix in the egg and then the milk until the mixture is stuff and sticky.
  4. Lightly grease a baking sheet and preheat the oven to 200 C.
  5. Spoon out six large and uneven piles of dough onto the baking sheet, and top each one with a glace cherry.
  6. Cook for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and serve.
