Goulash
A variant on a traditional Hungarian goulash recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp butter (or vegetable oil)
- 1 large onion
- 500 g beef
- salt
- 1 clove of garlic
- 0.5 tsp caraway seeds
- 4–6 tbsp sweet paprika
- 2–4 ripe tomatoes
- beef stock
- 2 bell peppers (green are best)
- 3 medium potatoes
Instructions
- Chop the onion and fry it in the butter on medium heat.
- Cut the beef into medium-sized strips or cubes.
- When the onion has become clear, add the beef and salt, to taste.
- Cover and leave until the meat is cooked.
- Chop the garlic and grind the caraway seeds. Add the garlic, caraway and paprika.
- Chop the tomatoes and add to the pot. I prefer to cut them into quite small pieces.
- Cover the vegetables with the stock and cook for about an hour.
- Chop up the peppers and potatoes, add to the pot and cook until done.
