Goulash

A variant on a traditional Hungarian goulash recipe.

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and fry it in the butter on medium heat.
  2. Cut the beef into medium-sized strips or cubes.
  3. When the onion has become clear, add the beef and salt, to taste.
  4. Cover and leave until the meat is cooked.
  5. Chop the garlic and grind the caraway seeds. Add the garlic, caraway and paprika.
  6. Chop the tomatoes and add to the pot. I prefer to cut them into quite small pieces.
  7. Cover the vegetables with the stock and cook for about an hour.
  8. Chop up the peppers and potatoes, add to the pot and cook until done.
